Ordering & Shipping

Most  orders are shipped the same day as received, unless an item ordered is a "Special Order" or your order is on back order. This may take 2-5 or more business days. Our product is constructed to our customer’s needs and 98% of our orders are shipped the same day unless it is a “made to order” product.

Website Orders:

USPS Orders must be placed and receive before 3:00 PM EST

FedEx Ground Orders must be placed and received before 3:00 EST

FedEx Express Orders must be placed and received before 4:00 EST (Monday-Thursday), 3:30 EST (Friday).

G&S Metals and Refiners will make every effort to get your order shipped the day it’s placed, please be aware of any shipping delays due to unforeseen weather conditions.

Alaska and Hawaii customers - additional shipping fees apply to all FedEx shipment totals at check out.

California, Alaska, and Hawaii Customers: FedEx Ground shipments may take 4-6 days. We suggest you choose FedEx 2nd Day. Check with FedEx for delivery exceptions in your area.

A tracking number for your shipment will be sent to your email account, through either FedEx or USPS depending on your shipping method. How to avoid the #1 Mistake:

Make sure you use the correct shipping address

First: Four very important reminders to our customers

  1. You must verify your shipping address and email address. Call us immediately if you have made a mistake.
  2. Please provide a physical street address for all FedEx Deliveries. FedEx does not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
  3. Address changes for FedEx Deliveries once shipped is an additional $10.00 service fee.
  4. You must provide a valid email address so we can communicate with you about your order. If you do not provide us with valid contact information, we have no choice but to delay or cancel your order.
  5. Please add us into your email as a trusted sender so we are not blocked by your spam blocker.

Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii

FedEx Envelope or FedEx Pak Add $10.00 to $20.00, depdending on your ship to location, all shipments must be quoted.

FedEx international Priority Service- Must be quoted.

FedEx Saturday Delivery- Must be quoted. 

Overseas and international shipments over $100.00 will be shipped in a FedEx Box. (Other than FedEx Envelope or FedEx Pak)

Duties and Taxes

In the event FedEx advances duties and taxes on behalf of the payer, the payer will be assessed a surcharge based on a flat rate or percentage of the total amount advanced. This surcharge will vary dependent upon the destination country. For Canada import shipments, the surcharge is 2.5% of the total amount advanced or $7, whichever is greater. Additional processing fees may be charged depending on the country of clearance.

Canadian Shipments

We ship to Canada via FedEx International Priority and they are subject to GST, PST, brokerage fees, and shipping rates based on weight, destination, and cost of goods.

  • A shipping rate will NOT display on your order - Please contact your local customs office for more information

International Shipments

We ship to International Destinations via FedEx International Priority.

  • International Order must meet a minimum of $25.00 USD.
  • A shipping rate will NOT display on your order confirmation.
  • Shipping rates are based on package weight, dimensions, destination and cost of goods.
  • International customers may select payment via PayPal or Wire Transfer.
  • We can not accept payment via credit (or debit) card for our international customers.
  • Any additional international duties and fees are the customer’s responsibility. We encourage you to contact your local customs office to learn about any additional taxes, duties, or fees.

*Please note: Certain countries charge additional customs fees and independent carrier charges. G&S Metals, Inc. cannot anticipate these costs and will not reimburse you for any additional fees incurred.

Before placing your order, please contact your local customs office to learn more about taxes, duties, or fees that will be due at your expense when your package arrives from the United States of America.

We’re sorry but we do not designate any packages as gifts or samples.

 

     Refusal of Delivery

  •  At the time of delivery if an order is refused, the customer will be responsible for shipping costs back to G&S metals as well as the original shipping charges. Please see our Returns and Replacements for more information. Please validate your “Ship To” address when placing your order. 

     Incorrect Shipping Information

  • If a package is returned to G&S metals or delivered to the wrong address due to an incorrect shipping address provided by a customer, the customer will be responsible for the original shipping cost, return shipping cost as well as the redelivery cost.

     Backordered Items

  • If an item out of stock, a notification will be e-mailed to you that, the item(s) will be placed on backorder when your order is processed by G&S Metals and Refiners.
  • Backordered items will ship automatically once they are back in stock.
  • There are no additional shipping or handling costs for backordered items.
  • Additional shipping costs may occur if a new product is added onto a back ordered item. Back to Top

Protection Against Fraudulent Charges

G&S Metals is committed to protecting you against fraudulent charges. If your information is accessed by a third party following a transaction on this site and used to make fraudulent purchases, your bank may hold you liable for up to $50 of those purchases per the Fair Credit Billing Act. In that unlikely event, G&S Metals will pay for the entire amount of your liability (up to the $50 limit) provided the unauthorized use is through no fault of your own and is the result of purchases made on G&S Metals secure server. In the event of other unauthorized use of your credit card in cases not involving G&S Metals, contact your credit card company immediately.

Returns & Replacements

 

Return Policy

Satisfaction is our policy. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days and accompanied with a copy of the invoice.

  • Special or MTO ordered items or items altered in any way cannot be accepted for credit.
  • Return items in their original packaging.
  • Make a copy of your invoice and note as to the nature of your return.
  • Credit card customers: we will credit your account or issue a return to your credit card upon request.
  • Ship your return in a sturdy box to: G&S, Inc. P.O. Box 1432, Ann Arbor, MI 48106, we do suggest including a delivery confirmation on your shipment for tracking purposes.
  • G&S Metals is not responsible for any returns damaged during shipping; a credit, exchange, or return will not be issued for damaged returns
  • For security reasons, please do not include the words: jewelry, gold, diamonds, metals, etc. on your return label.
  • If your shipment is over $50 (USD), we advise you use a delivery confirmation/signature required and insurance through USPS for the safe delivery of your return to us.
  • G&S Metals Inc. charges a restocking fee of 15%.

Tracking Your Order

 Once your order is shipped you will receive a ship confirmation e-mail from FedEx Ship Manager with the tracking number (provided your e-mail address is correct).

    FedEx Ground Shipping

  • We are currently shipping within 1-2 business days from receipt of your order.
  • FedEx Ground packages are delivered Monday through Friday until 8 pm.
  • For residential address packages are delivered Tuesday through Saturday until 8pm
  • Once your order has left our warehouse please see FedEx Map for Estimated Delivery Times.

    FedEx 2nd Day & Next Day Air

         (48 Contiguous States)

  • Express Orders received Monday-Thursday by 2:00pm EST will go out that day. If your order is received after 2:00pm EST it will be shipped out the next business day.
  • Express Orders received Friday after 1:00pm EST, on the weekend, or on a day we are closed (see our schedule) will ship on the following business day.
  • FedEx Express does not include weekend service.

Payment Methods

 

Methods of Payment

  • If you have a customer ID #, your payment method has already been established.
  • If you have placed an order on our web site at www.gsgold.com your payment method has been established.
  • New customers payment method is by credit card, International Customers PayPal or wire transfer (if approved)
  • We do not accept Money Orders as a method of payment. 
  • We do not accept personal checks, unless approved by G&S Inc. 
  • Terms are applied to customers with approved credit.
  • Customers may also pay with their Refining results.
  • All Special Orders must have 75% down payment which is non-refundable, non-returnable.

Open Accounts

Net 30-day terms are available to accounts that have established credit. A finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% A.P.R.) will be applied to account balances over 30 days old. G&S Metals reserve the right to hold shipments on past due accounts.

Accounts that have been inactive for 6 months or more forfeit their open line of credit. A new application must be submitted to re-establish an open line of credit. Terms will be changed to credit card method of payment during this transition period.

Credit Card Payment

We accept Visa and MasterCard, American Express and  Discover. We do not ship C.O.D. Credit card information is not kept on file and must be submitted with each new order.

We do not accept credit cards issued by non US or Canadian banks.

Please provide your bill to information for your credit card to expedite your order.

New Domestic Customers with credit card terms may be required to use a wire transfer for orders over $2,000.00.

Wire Transfer

Out of country payments must be done by wire transfer or PayPal.

Viewing Orders

How can I view my orders placed on the web site?

To view orders place on our web site.

  • First login to your customer account with G&S Metals and Refiners.

            Forgot your login? Use the “Forgotten Password” option (use the email you registered with G&S) on our web site, if you do not receive an email for password recovery, please call our office.

  • From the, My Account information, located on the right, choose, My Orders

 

 How Can I view My Orders?

  • Choose, View Order to review any order placed on our web site.
    • This opens up a new window, where you can see what you ordered, plus shipping and billing information and additional information regarding that order.
    • You may also Reorder a previously placed order on our web site, by choosing the Reorder option.
    • Phone in order history will not be shown on the web site.
    • Tracking information is not provided on our web site, please look for tracking information provided through FedEx or Pitney Bowes.
