At G&S Metals we realize that in this volatile market, it is imperative to respond in a timely fashion to protect you, our customer, from sharp swings in the commodities markets.

G&S Metals has invested in refining equipment that will provide assay results the day after receipt of your scrap metal. What does that mean for you? It means that once your scrap metal is received, you will have results within 24 hours. Does that mean you have to settle (make a decision) at that time? No, it means that we can evaluate your options and you can decide when you are ready basing your decision on how much you paid for the scrap metals and at what price you want to sell. In other words, you are in control of your gold refining and all other metal refining.

How much will it cost? If you reference the chart below, you will see it is approximately 4% plus a 11/2 % metal purchase fee which equals approximately 5 ½% of your value.

You will note if you do the math, that the greater the quantity, the lower the percentage cost for refining.

Every customer’s metal refining is kept separate from beginning to end with a hard copy of the refining as well as the computerized version. We also keep a back up sample of the assay as insurance. Because of our sophisticated computerized system, we can track you history and compare your results from batch to batch.

How to Ship Gold Scrap Metal
Ship via First Class Mail, insured for the estimated value.  Customers in the delivery area may call for a "pick up", deliver your scrap to G&S personally or ship to G&S, P.O. Box 1432, Ann Arbor, MI 48106.

Metal Accountability
Karat Solids and Filings are 99% - Polishings and Low Grade are 94%.

Precious Stone Removal
Minimum charge $75.  If settings are mixed with other scrap, this service is not available.

Assays
AU and AG assays available at $50 each.
Platinum and Palladium assays available at $100 each
