CADMIUM FREE PLUMB SOLDER ~ SOLDER PASTE

Solders are specific to each jewelers needs and the solders at G&S Metals have a high performance and match our metals. All of our solders are plumb and cadmium free. If you are not using cadmium free plumb solders, you are jeopardizing your health. Always order cadmium free solders.

Our solders in both sheet solder and chip solders are cadmium free and are plumb solders. Our karat solders are specific to their karat listing. Our Paste solders are premium and available in 14K yellow medium and 14K white medium. Our solders are consistent in color and performance.

SOLDER PASTE

Solder paste is a homogeneous blend of solder powder, flux (optional), and binder. These pastes are applied to the joint with a semi-automated paste dispenser, or with a manually operate hand held syringe. The assemblies are then heated by any of the following methods: furnace, torch induction or resistance to effect soldering.

Yellow Gold Solder Cadmium Free PLumb Solder

When soldering operations are performed in an air or poor furnace atmosphere, a paste that contains a flux is required. In this instance, a highly active combination of chemical compounds is added to the paste to clean an protect the base metal and solder during the heating cycle. The resulting flux residue is easily removed with warm water.

PLATINUM SOLDER ranges in Melt Temperature from 2012° F to 3092° F and can be purchased in .5 dwt.

STERLING SILVER SOLDER in round wire and strip in easy flow solder, medium flow solder and hard solder work with our silver products.

ARGENTIUM SILVER SOLDER in easy, medium and hard flows should only be used with our Argentium products. It is not advisable to combine sterling silver solders with Argentium silver solders.

14K EXTRA WHITE GOLD SOLDER in 14K Easy, 14K Medium, and 14K Hard are designed to match the 14K Extra White casting grain that needs no Rhodium plating for whiteness. >> more

TRU-PD™ 950 PALLADIUM
Tru-Pd™ does not require Rhodium Plating. You do not need to use a flux when soldering Tru-Pd™ because the soldering temperatures are too high. >> more
